Zelensky on strikes against Russia: This year must be pivotal; we need to take control of our own destiny.

Ukrainian weaponry is bringing the war back to the Russian Federation, diminishing the enemy's capacity to continue it, which is essential for peace. The year 2025 should be decisive.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the evening address of the head of state.

"I want to thank all Ukrainian developers and manufacturers of long-range drones and our missiles. Everyone can see their effectiveness - how our weaponry is bringing the war back to Russia and how the Russian war potential is decreasing," the president said.

He noted that the anxiety in Russia, the reduction of Russian capabilities to sell and process oil, and the falling global prices for this energy resource are all necessary for the sake of peace.

"And of course, thanks to all the guys from the Security Service of Ukraine, the Special Operations Forces, all our Armed Forces of Ukraine, the SVR, GUR - everyone who contributes their strength and precision to Ukraine's capabilities - thank you all!" Zelensky concluded.

Recall that on the night of January 26, drones attacked the Ryazan Oil Refinery in Russia for the second time in a week.

As explained by the UAV Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, these strikes on the enterprise are crucial to disrupt the logistics of the Russian occupiers.

The fact is that JSC "Ryazan Oil Refinery" is the largest refinery in the Central Federal District, processing over 17 million tons of oil annually. Additionally, the plant produces a wide range of products.
