On February 4, electricity consumption increased by 2.8% compared to the previous day. On February 3, the peak consumption was recorded in the morning, exceeding the previous high from January 31 by 2%. The rise in electricity demand is linked to the drop in temperatures across Ukraine.
Due to damage to generation and transmission facilities, emergency power outages have been implemented in the following regions: Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Poltava, Zaporizhia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk (partially), and Cherkasy (partially).
To prevent further overloads, Ukrainians are urged to limit electricity consumption from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
