Yes, the head of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Daniil Getmantsev, has submitted the relevant draft law to parliament. According to the MP, the proposed changes were developed in collaboration with prominent Ukrainian business associations.
This draft law includes several amendments to the existing regulations. Firstly, packages valued at up to 45 euros will remain exempt from VAT, but only if they are sent by individuals, are not intended for commercial use, and are provided free of charge.
However, goods purchased through online stores will be subject to VAT, regardless of their value. Import duties will only apply to goods valued over 150 euros.
Getmantsev emphasized that these measures aim to simplify VAT administration procedures and expedite the customs clearance of packages, ensuring a more efficient process for citizens while maintaining fair taxation standards.
