The government acknowledges that between 1.3 and 3.3 million Ukrainians may choose not to return home, creating significant challenges for the country’s demographic and economic future. As a result, Ukrainian authorities are exploring various options to address this issue.
Among the ideas being discussed, Ukraine reportedly advocates for EU member states to reassess the aid provided to Ukrainian refugees. Additionally, there are proposals to restrict access to consular services for men of conscription age, which may further encourage their return.
These measures reflect a broader strategy by Ukraine to mitigate population losses during the ongoing war and ensure an adequate workforce to support the country's recovery.
