He stated that according to the country's Internal Stability Plan, each secondary school should have a dedicated police officer responsible for maintaining safety.

He also noted that school safety involves not only the presence of trained specialists but also the implementation of various technical measures. Currently, nearly all secondary educational institutions in Ukraine are equipped with police call buttons.

Furthermore, efforts are being made to enhance security protocols, including the introduction of controlled access systems and the installation of metal detectors.

The role of school resource officers goes beyond maintaining safety. These staff members ensure that unauthorized individuals and suspicious items do not pose a threat to students, monitor the access control system, peacefully resolve conflicts, prevent unlawful actions, and actively participate in the patriotic education of students, encouraging them to take an active role in society.

Additionally, the minister spoke about the establishment of lyceums focused on security and national-patriotic education under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These institutions, which are already operating in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kryvyi Rih, were opened in the current academic year. More than 500 children from disadvantaged categories are receiving education in these lyceums under a full boarding system.

He emphasized that this initiative represents the government's commitment to support families whose members dedicate themselves to the defense of the country. The Ministry also plans to expand these lyceums and improve conditions for students.

The right to enroll in these institutions extends to children of military personnel, police officers, and civil defense workers who have died, gone missing, or become disabled while on duty.

Moreover, applications can be submitted by children whose parents are currently involved in national security and defense efforts.
