The British Prime Minister Keir Starmer noted that “the fall of Assad's brutal regime should be welcomed,” but urged caution regarding “what comes next.”
He also emphasized that the priority must be the safety of the Syrian people, “while simultaneously supporting a political transition that leads to a stable, inclusive, and non-sectarian governance on behalf of all Syrians.”
