Beating of a young man in Obolon, Kyiv: police provide details.
The young man who was beaten in Obolon, Kyiv on February 6, had met a girl for a date. The police have reported suspicions against four teenagers who attacked him.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the National Police of Kyiv.
Law enforcement officials discovered that the 19-year-old victim had met a 15-year-old girl online and suggested they meet, unaware of her actual age.
"When the young man arrived at the meeting place, he was suddenly ambushed by a group of teenagers wearing masks. The assailants brutally beat him, particularly striking his head with a metal chain. Additionally, one of them seized the victim's mobile phone," police stated.
Throughout the night, operatives, along with criminal analysis analysts and juvenile prevention inspectors, identified those involved in the attack.
"They turned out to be four minors aged 14-15 who directly inflicted bodily harm, as well as two 15-year-old girls who recorded the crime on a mobile phone, one of whom the victim had invited to meet. All of them are residents of different areas of the capital," the law enforcement officials noted.
During the investigative actions, police seized the victim's phone, masks, and clothing worn by the attackers.

Investigators have reported suspicions against four teenagers under part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - hooliganism, and one of them has additionally been charged under part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - robbery committed under martial law.
As reported, the police are conducting an investigation into the beating of the young man in Kyiv. The incident occurred in the Obolon district on February 6.
Prior to this, teenagers had beaten a young man in the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka, with the incident taking place near Kyiv on January 25. The police have initiated an investigation.
