Raped and set on fire: A girl in Kharkiv region died after being assaulted by a teenage neighbor.

A girl in Kharkiv region died in the hospital after being suffocated and burned by a teenage neighbor with a brick.

This was reported on his Facebook page by the head of the Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Kharkiv region, Sergey Bolvinov, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to him, the 15-year-old girl was found alive in a garden. She was returning from a birthday celebration in another village with her neighbor.

The 17-year-old boy began to harass her, and when she rejected him, he attacked. He struck her on the head, attempted to suffocate her, raped her right in the yard, and then tried to burn her in the garden, dousing her with diesel fuel.

"The girl fought for her life in the hospital for over ten days, but unfortunately, she could not be saved. Due to the severe injuries, she passed away last night in the intensive care unit. I have already provided detailed information about this horrific incident; the young man is in custody, facing a life sentence," the police officer wrote.

Due to the girl's death, the suspect will be charged with intentional murder combined with rape.

Recall that in Kharkiv region, a first-year college student brutally dealt with a schoolgirl. The boy beat the girl with a brick, raped her, attempted to strangle her, and then even set her on fire. The girl suffered severe burns and injuries; medical staff tried to save her.
