In Kharkiv region, a repeat offender stole money from a friend's card and fled, according to the police.

Police have uncovered a resident of the Chuhuiv district involved in stealing money from someone else's bank card.

This information comes from the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as reported by "Dumka".

According to the police, the victim discovered that money was missing from his card account and reported it to the police.

The man explained that the day before, he had asked a friend to go to the store. He gave him his bank card along with the PIN code. The 27-year-old associate withdrew 3,400 hryvnias from the card and disappeared, using the money for his own needs.

Police located the man. The perpetrator turned out to be a 27-year-old resident of the community who had a prior conviction for property crimes.

Investigators from the Chuhuiv District Police Department informed the suspect of the charges against him for committing a crime under part 4 of Article 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
