Near Kharkiv, a man nearly lost his life after setting his house on fire due to a cigarette, according to the State Emergency Service.

A household fire occurred in the Kharkiv region due to careless smoking.

In the village of Nova Vodolaha in the Kharkiv region, a man was injured as a result of a domestic fire.

This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the State Emergency Service, yesterday, February 7, a 46-year-old man suffered injuries from a domestic fire in the village of Nova Vodolaha. He sustained burns to his legs and was subsequently hospitalized.

The area affected by the fire in the residential building was 50 sq.m. The cause was carelessness while smoking.

Additionally, over the course of a day, two fires caused by enemy actions were recorded in the Kharkiv region. These occurred due to enemy munitions hitting private residential houses in the Volchansk community of the Chuhuiv district.
