Law enforcement officials have tackled illegal hunting in the Balakliia community.
This was reported by the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, according to "Dumka".
According to police reports, on February 24, remains of wild animals were found in the territory of one of the forestry enterprises. It has been established that a 49-year-old local resident may be involved in the crime.
On February 26, law enforcement conducted a sanctioned search at his home, where they seized hunting weapons, cartridges, ammunition of various calibers, knives, carcasses, and remains of wild animals. All seized evidence has been sent for examination. The amount of damage caused and the number of killed animals are still being determined.
A criminal proceeding has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 248 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal Hunting). He faces up to three years of restriction of freedom.
It is likely that this refers to a situation spreading on social networks. Eyewitnesses report that this occurred in the village of Chepel in the Izium district. The video shows deer embryos in their mother's wombs and dead adult animals. It is noted that there were two offenders, one of whom has already been detained.
