The Russian army launched 102 strike drones over Ukraine during the night of Friday, January 31. Air defense forces operated across 12 regions of the country.

In the night of January 31, 2025, starting from 9:00 PM on January 30, the enemy attacked with 102 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of imitation drones from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsk-Akhtarsk in Russia, and from Cape Chauda in Crimea.
The air assault was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:00 AM, the downing of 59 Shahed-type strike drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles has been confirmed in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
Additionally, 37 enemy imitation drones were locally lost without negative consequences.
As a result of the enemy attack, the Sumy, Odesa, and Cherkasy regions were affected.
Currently, four enemy drones remain in the airspace of Ukraine, and combat operations are ongoing.
Last night, it became known that the Russian army again launched strike drones over Ukrainian territory from several directions.
As a result of the attack, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv. There were also reports of explosion sounds in the capital. Later, it was reported that debris had fallen in one of the districts, damaging the balcony of an apartment in a multi-story building.
However, it was later clarified that the damage was not related to the RF attack.
