At night, Russia launched over a hundred drones into Ukraine. Here’s how the air defense system responded to the threat.

On the night of February 7, Russia launched over a hundred drones against Ukraine. Air defense forces operated in 13 regions of the country.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Air Forces.

During the night of February 7, 2025, starting from 7:00 PM on February 6, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 112 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones.

They were launched from the following locations:

• Kursk;
• Oryol;
• Millerovo;
• Bryansk;
• Shatalovo.

"The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine," the report stated.

As of 9:00 AM on Friday, February 7, the destruction of the 81st Shahed-type strike drone and other types of drones has been confirmed in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.

Additionally, 31 enemy imitation drones were locally lost without negative consequences. However, as a result of the enemy attack, Sumy, Kyiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions were affected.
