On January 15, Russian invaders launched attacks on Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). As a result of the enemy assault, there is one fatality and one injury in the city, along with fires that broke out.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak.

According to the official, rescuers recovered the body of a deceased woman from the rubble of a house that was destroyed due to the Russian shelling.

The deceased was 54 years old.

In addition, the head of the OVA reported that a 45-year-old man was injured as a result of the enemy attack.

"He received medical assistance and will be treated on an outpatient basis," Lysak stated.

Other Consequences of the Nikopol Shelling

The head of the OVA reported that a house and an outbuilding were destroyed in Nikopol as a result of the Russian attack.

"There is also damaged housing—both private homes and apartment buildings. Garages and vehicles have been hit. Gas pipelines and power lines have been affected," the official conveyed.

Shelling of Nikopol

It is worth noting that Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region is currently under constant shelling from Russian occupiers, who attack the city from the opposite bank of the Dnipro River. The enemy shells the settlement and its area almost daily.

For instance, on January 4, a Russian strike damaged a fire station in Nikopol.

At the end of December, Russian terrorists attacked the central market in Nikopol with a drone, resulting in many injuries among the people.

Previously, two enterprises in the Nikopol district were damaged as a result of a Russian attack.

And in September, the Russian army attacked a car in Nikopol carrying a family with children—as a result of the shelling, a woman and her 12-year-old daughter were killed, while a man and his 4-year-old daughter were injured.
