As a result of shelling in Kupiansk, a police officer was injured and has since undergone surgery.
This information was reported by the communication department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to police reports, around 10:00 AM, the city was subjected to artillery fire. Consequently, a police officer sustained shrapnel wounds. Currently, the 24-year-old law enforcement officer has been hospitalized, where he has undergone surgery.
A forensic investigation team, criminalists, and explosives experts were dispatched to the scene of the shelling. A criminal case has been opened under part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (War Crimes).
It is worth noting that today, February 7, Russian occupiers struck Kupiansk. The shelling resulted in injuries to a 24-year-old police officer.
