A man in Kharkiv is facing trial for drug possession.

This was reported by the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, according to "Dumka".

According to law enforcement, the police responded to a call regarding domestic violence. The man was shouting, insulting, and threatening his partner with physical harm.

The victim confirmed that her 35-year-old partner uses drugs and keeps them in their apartment.

Investigators arrived on the scene and discovered paper bags containing a green substance. Experts determined that it was cannabis.

An administrative protocol was drawn up against the man for domestic violence, and a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of Article 309 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, or mailing of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, or their analogs without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
