In Kharkiv, patrol officers tracked down the perpetrator of a road accident who had fled the scene.

According to the police, yesterday, January 12, around 10:00 PM, patrol officers arrived to document an accident on Moniuszko Street. It was there that the driver of a Daewoo vehicle collided with another car and then fled the scene of the accident.
The inspectors relayed the description of the vehicle over the radio and initiated a search.
The patrol officers quickly located the damaged car of the accident's perpetrator not far from the accident site.
During the conversation, the driver admitted that he had consumed alcohol after the accident. He agreed to undergo a sobriety test.
The sobriety check was conducted using a Dräger device, which indicated a result of 1.59 promille, exceeding the permissible limit by more than seven times.
The patrol officers removed the man from driving and prepared administrative protocols, which will later be handled by the court.
