A person died in a residential building fire in Kharkiv, according to the State Emergency Service.

In Kharkiv, during the firefighting efforts, rescuers found the body of an 82-year-old woman.

This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the rescuers, yesterday, December 22, at 18:45, a report was received about a fire in a private residential house on Diplomatic Lane in the Novobavar district of Kharkiv.

The fire engulfed the rooms, ceilings, and roof of the residential building over an area of 150 square meters. At the scene of the fire, rescuers discovered the body of the deceased woman, born in 1942.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A total of 17 rescuers and 3 units of emergency service equipment were present at the site.
