В России дроны атаковали аэродром Миллерово; Forbes сообщает о вероятной цели этой операции.

Unknown drones have attacked the Millerovo airbase in the Rostov region of Russia. Their targets may have included Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian Air Force.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Forbes.

According to the publication, the aim of such strikes on Russian airfields is not always to destroy specific buildings or pieces of equipment. The situation is also influenced by Ukraine's use of long-range munitions—Western missiles and its own rockets and drones. This compels the Russians to move their forces further away from the front line.

Forbes reports that last year commercial satellites detected dozens of Su-25 and Su-30 fighters at Millerovo. However, this fall, the same satellites recorded only a few Su-25s.

It is likely that the Russians have evacuated their aircraft further from the front line to a distance of over 600 kilometers. However, this does not mean that attacks on Russian airbases are futile. The frequency of Russian combat aircraft flights during the week is now limited. Additionally, their time spent over the front line is restricted, making them less effective.

Recall that we previously reported explosions near the Millerovo airfield in the Rostov region on the evening of December 23. The Russians complained about a drone attack.
