Today, February 8, police neutralized a young man who threatened to detonate a grenade indoors.

According to "Dumka," this was reported by the communications department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

Law enforcement officials stated that police arrived at an apartment on Kultura Street, where a 19-year-old man resides, to execute a court order for a search as part of a criminal investigation. He claimed to have a grenade and threatened to blow it up if the police attempted to enter. Inside the apartment with him were his 15-year-old brother and 10-year-old sister.

As a result of the special operation, police apprehended the suspect. No ammunition or explosives were found in the residence.

The information has been added to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations. A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 345 (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
